The first step in diamond cutting is placing a few larger facets to open up visibility into the stone. If new impurities appear, it may lead to a change in design or shape. The final stage is adding the very small facets that give the diamonds their fire and brilliance. Each facet’s angle, size, and symmetry are vital to its beauty and value.
